Samsung is expected to update its entry-level smartphone lineup with the Galaxy M04 soon, and the device has just appeared in a new listing on the Google Play Console. The page reveals various information about aspects such as performance, screen and more.
The device will come with a MediaTek MT6765 processor, also identified by its trade name Helio G35. The platform has eight cores in its CPU, four Cortex-A53 at 2.3 GHz and four Cortex-A53 at 1.8 GHz.
In addition, the homologation also shows the presence of at least one version with 3 GB of RAM. However, versions with 4 GB can also be marketed by the Korean brand.
The Galaxy M04 must have Android 12 as the operating system, and therefore it must arrive with outdated software – after all, several models of the Galaxy M series will have Android 13, along with the typical Samsung One UI 5 interface.
Previous tests on the Geekbench platform had already shown this set of performance, with 861 points in single-core and 4,223 in multi-core.
Samsung Galaxy M04: what to expect
It was also confirmed that the smartphone will come with a screen considered basic, with HD + resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels and 300 DPI. Other details of this panel have not yet been officially released, but previous rumors have indicated that it should be 6.5 inches.
The Galaxy M04 is expected to have a 13MP main camera, lined up with a 2MP sensor for depth sensing. On the front section, a 5 MP component should be positioned inside a drop-shaped notch.
In addition, its battery should be 5,000 mAh, with support for 10 W recharges – therefore, without major developments in this regard.
As it is a more basic model, the Galaxy M04 should be aimed at some specific markets. It has already passed the Indian regulatory body BIS, and a support page has already been found on Samsung’s website there, with mentions of the new model.
A date for the launch of the smartphone has not yet been announced, but the appearance in several certifications indicates that it should be announced soon. However, a more detailed guide can be found on our Galaxy M04 review.
