Xiaomi 13 arrives this week with OLED screen

787 unlocks

After months of speculation, Xiaomi has finally confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 lineup will be launched this week. New publications from the Chinese brand point out that the models will arrive on December 1, and their first technical details have also been revealed.

It was said that the standard model of the series will come with a flat OLED screen and 1.61mm bezels. In addition, the company also indicated that both smartphones will have IP68 resistance against water and dust.

For this year, the company confirmed the arrival of the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro models – therefore, without mention of an X version. In 2021, the Xiaomi 12X came as a more affordable option, by bringing a more modest Snapdragon 870 processor and dispensing with wireless charging.

In addition to showing its new top-of-the-line phones, Xiaomi will take advantage of the date to launch MIUI 14, a new version of its interface for Android.

In 2021, the Xiaomi 12 line was presented in the last days of the year for the Chinese market, but in 2022 the schedule will be advanced by a few weeks. Therefore, there is a possibility of an early arrival of the global model – however, nothing has been confirmed so far.

What to expect from the Xiaomi 13?

As is already traditional, the Xiaomi 13 series will come with Qualcomm’s most powerful processor at the moment. It is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, a platform presented this month.

Smartphones should also bring highlights in the set of cameras, with components signed by Leica. The Pro model is expected to have the same Sony IMX 989 sensor as the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, with an inch and 50 MP.

The entire triple set of rear cameras of the devices should bring 50 MP components, and telephoto lenses should appear on both models. At the front, the devices may have 32 MP sensors for selfies.

According to additional rumors, even the standard Xiaomi 13 will have a QHD+ resolution screen, with LTPO OLED technology. It is likely that the Pro model will bring little change in this regard, in a 6.7-inch panel.

The most advanced smartphone should still bring a 4,800 mAh battery, and support for recharges of up to 120 W. The Xiaomi 13 will offer 67 W charging, as already confirmed by certification.
