Samsung Galaxy A55 is a premium mid-range cell phone from Samsung expected for the first quarter of 2024. Its first details have already started to appear in some leaks, indicating changes mainly in the chipset.
According to rumors, the processor expected for the successor to the Galaxy A54 has already started testing with the model number SE8845. Apparently, the SoC will be called Exynos 1480, successor to the Exynos 1380 (S5E8835).
Other information, such as processing speed and manufacturing process, was not mentioned. However, there is a lot of expectation for the debut of the AMD GPU in mid-range smartphones. Samsung partnered with AMD to deliver improvements mainly in AI.
Regarding cameras, the future A55 should maintain the 50 MP main camera of the previous one, but image quality should improve due to the new SoC.
