Samsung may update its mid-range Galaxy M line soon with the Galaxy M54. The model has just appeared in tests on the Geekbench platform, with performance details and more.
The device may feature the new Exynos 1380 processor, which has not had specifications officially released by Samsung so far. However, some technical details already appear in the benchmark.
According to the page, the octa-core platform will have four cores for maximum performance at 2.4 GHz, and four more at 2.0 GHz for energy savings. There is also the presence of a Mali-G68 GPU for graphics processing, the same present in the Exynos 1280 used in the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53.
The tested version has 8 GB of RAM, but it is possible that Samsung will also make the device available in versions with 6 GB. Meanwhile, the internal storage is expected to stay at 128GB or 256GB.
The device runs Android 13 out of the box, with the One UI 5 interface typical of the Korean brand. With this set, the device received 750 points in single-core and 2,696 in multi-core — which reaffirms its intermediate character.
Galaxy M54: what to expect
Few details of the Galaxy M54 have been released so far, but it is possible that the device will bring some specifications inherited from the Galaxy A54.
Previous rumors point out that the Galaxy A54 should bring a 50 MP main camera, with two or three auxiliary lenses on the back. At the front, the components will be positioned inside a hole centered in the top section of the display.
It was also said that the device should gain a battery of 5,000 mAh or more, something standard for the category.
An official date for the launch of the new devices in the Galaxy M line has not yet been announced, but the appearance in tests shows that this could happen at some point in the coming weeks. Until then, more information about smartphones should be leaked.
